Other wire music stands up to 19" when folded will also fit. The end flap closes with velcro and there is an adjustable strap which can be lengthened to go over the shoulder.

Bam Shoulder Straps     $54.00 Bam non-slip padded shoulder straps (set of two) lock onto the case D-rings with carbiners. These are mountain-climbing quality carbiners with threaded "locks" that twist up to secure it from opening. Straps are adjustable in length and very comfortable.

Orly Music Pocket     $75.00 Orly padded music pocket attaches to the 2 D-rings at the neck of your cello case. Elastic loops on each side of the pocket match up with the D-rings on your cello case, and you use your own strap hardware to attach. This system does not work for cases with a single D-ring in the middle of the neck, such as Bam, Bobelock. It does work with Gewa and any other case having two connection points at the neck area. Photo below shows a Henle music book for sizing purposes.

1-bow case Mahogany     $80.00 Mahogany wallet style case is 29" long and holds a single cello bow. Velvet-lined interior has a soft-padded lid that gently presses against the bow to hold it in place, keep it from sliding. There are three-flip-up latches.

Bam Padded Music Pocket     $95.00 Bam's padded music pocket has straps that attach to the D-rings on the exterior neck and sides of your Bam case. 2-bow Gewa     $115.00 This wallet-style bow case is sized specifically for two cello bows to lay on their sides. Construction is plywood shell covered by black leatherette no handle. The interior is lined with green velvet. There are three slide button latches, very secure, though none lock. Exterior dimensions: 29-3/8" long, 3-1/2" wide with 3 (slightly) protruding latches, and 1-1/4" deep.

The nylon cover resists water, foam padding protects the cello from everyday bumps. 3/4 Hybrid bag     $150.00 3/4 size cellos have a new alternative to padded bags and heavy fiberglass cases. At 8 pounds this rigid hybrid has the best features of a padded bag with the rigid protection that's been lacking. It's 8 pounds, compact which is helpful for 3/4 cellists, holds two bows, rosin and small accessories. Grommeted at the bottom, the endpin will protrude as it does with a soft bag so this case is to be laid on its side, not standing up. Dimbath Soundwear Protector     $225.00 The Protector gig bag is a more economical version of the Performer bag. You still get dense padding in the bag, but the other features are stripped down. There's no gig pocket, there are fewer handles, and the backpack straps lack the extra padding found in the other hiking bags. A big snug, so this is a good choice for a small 4/4 or 7/8 cello. Grey

Concord Hill-W     $320.00 Concord hatchtop case for 4/4 cellos has a plywood shell with cordura cover, single latch with zipper closing, and music pocket on back. Interior has two bow holders, string pocket, soft lining. Black or Blue. Large rubber wheels are more shock-absorbing on sidewalks, which is important since the case is a little heavy at 16 pounds. Very easy to maneuver, and a lot of protection for the price.

Concord Concert     $375.00 Concord Concert 4/4 cello case has a plywood shell with cordura cover, external music pocket. Reunion Blues     $395.00 Reunion Blues' newest gig bag is here! The zipper now extends around the scroll for easier access. Side walls are nearly 1" of thick padding, very difficult to compress. New fabric is more resistant to water and even pet hair, to maintain a professional look. The front gig pocket is roomy and, with the handle, protect the vulnerable bridge area. One or two cello bows fit in the bow sleeve above the fingerboard so no additional bow case is necessary though there is room for one. The large music pocket on the back accommodates orchestra folios. The straps are comfortable on the shoulders and the bag sits high on the back for a "lighter" feel. While the weight is increased to 9 pounds, the degree of protection and compact, sleek fit at this price still make it an exceptional case. Bobelock Slim     $480.00 Bobelock's Slimline fiberglass cello case is a lighter version of its standard, and is an excellent value. The same amount of material goes into the shell; it is just contoured and tapered differently to make the case more compact in less vulnerable areas resulting in less weight. There are no wheels, only one shoulder handle, and you can notice the narrower shape in photo 2. The interior features a velour suspension lining, 2 bow holders, string pocket. Exterior colors: Black, Ivory, Blue. Cellos should have upper bouts no larger than 14.25", lower bouts no larger than 17.25" to fit in the case.

Bam NT Voyager     $1107.00 New Tech Voyager, designed for travel, is constructed of a shock-absorbing ABS shell with densely-padded cushions suspending the cello from all edges of the shell. For accessories, a small string pocket installs along the side edge of the center bouts. There are elastic loops to hold the scroll and endpin; the neck strap is adjustable and fastens with a clasp. 2 bow holders have Velcro closures. Two padded no-slip shoulder straps are included, and attach to the exterior D rings with locking carbiners for backpack style carrying. Nova Eclipse     $1399.00 Nova's "Eclipse" case is an 8-pound carbon fiber case with a single lever that operates all (invisible) latches. Close the case and all latches operate automatically with a central lock system. To open, turn the lever under the carrying handle and all latches release. There is no locking mechanism. This case will fit cellos up to 35cm upper bouts, 44.5cm lower bouts, 131 cm total length with endpin. The shell is strong and rigid, stable when standing, and the design does offer protection against rain. The lid overlaps the bottom, and the bottom abuts the thick lining so no water gets in. This case will fit cellos up to 14 inches upper bouts, 18 inches lower bouts, and 50 inches long with a little buffer space. (We put a Ruggieri model in this one and it fit beautifully.) What distinguishes this ultralight from others is its 5/8" thick Airex core. The ABS shell over this Airex foam core we like to think of as a motorcycle helmet for your cello. Bam High Tech Slim 2.9     $1955.00 Bam's Slim HT is now available in white or olive green color, replacing the silver dot pattern shown. It's an ultralight case at 2.9kg and features the same Airex core and construction of the other High Tech Compact cases -- just contoured in the least vulnerable zones for a slimmer profile. The interior has two fixed dense foam suspension cushions, 2 bow holders, a string pocket, scroll and endpin loops. The neck strap fastens with a clasp instead of Velcro. Brack     $2500.00 Handmade in Switzerland, Brack's cello case offers excellent protection at ultralight weight (3.5 kg or 7.5 lbs). A "sandwich" technology incorporates materials for strength, impact resistance and thermal protection. The interior lining features dense foam pads which suspend the cello from the back of the case. And endpin spinner and long neck channel keep it centered and away from the sides. Short-block cellos may need a "booster" pad beneath the endpin spinner to raise it for proper fit. Cellos with upper bouts to 14.75" and lower bouts to 18" will fit in the Brack. Leather handles are extremely comfortable, and the 4 locking latches close flush with the case. Accord     $2595.00 Accord cases can be special ordered. Features include height-adjustable platform and velcro-backed pad system allow for custom fit.
