Revelle Raven
Raven is our entry level bow which serves new students or those on a budget, and is an excellent backup bow when the cellist is ready for a better bow for their advancing skills. The bow has a solid black graphite-fiber shaft which cannot warp or lose camber, and we have not experienced a comparable wood bow at this price. Weight usually 78-80 grams. If you're here in SC, the stamp on the frog looks a little like our Gamecock! Two-year limited warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials from date of purchase to the original owner. Excludes damage caused by improper use, accident, solvents, modifications.

The design, materials and craftsmanship in this model allow for more resonance, heightened response of the bow to the cellist, and needs to be experienced. Whether this is your primary bow, or a secondary to a fine wood bow, its mid-weight ~81.5 g fits many players' comfort zone.

Arcus brand
We started selling Arcus bows in 2000 when there were three models. It was easy because the differences and prices were distinct. Currently they offer three different series, each series has models 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ranging from $1280 to $8100. The M and T series only come in round sticks, but the S gives you a choice of round or octagonal. The level 8 is also available in silver or gold mount. So all told, there are 28 models. We carry limited stock but are happy to order models for serious shoppers who have determined they feel comfortable with the lighter weights and maneuverability of the bow, but need to fine tune the model they want. Price usually eliminates some options, while weight and characteristics steer players in a more focused direction. M Series is the preferred bow here, as it is the heaviest -- if you can consider 72g heavy -- and just more frequently selected.
