Guadagnini (c)
Back length 720 mm, String length 687 mm
Upper bouts 340 mm, Lower bouts 420 mm
Carved of Chinese spruce and maple, this small pattern 4/4 Guadagnini is a good candidate if you are looking for a smaller cello but prefer to stay in a 4/4.
The string length is longer than found in most Guads, but if you’re fighting with a SL of 700mm now, you’ll appreciate the difference. Setup includes ebony Pegheds, Belgian bridge, unidirectional ConCarbo French tailpiece, NHM composite fitting with 10mm endpin. In case you don’t recognize the purple winding on the strings, they are new Peter Infeld by Thomastik.
