The Guadagnini is currently available in Chinese spruce and maple, which is less expensive than the European wood.    Some cellists don’t realize how critical it is to have a shorter string length until they tackle more challenging music in unfriendly keys and/or much faster tempi.   This cello may well be the answer when you don’t really want to move to a 7/8 .   You can see the last one we sold in the gallery, and the new one is in line for setup.
