Bach, JS – Six Suites for Solo Cello BWV 1007-1012 (Rosanoff after Casals)
There is no edition by Casals; Rosanoff was a student. Originally this edition was noted for its oversized, highly readable pages. That changed a few years ago, so be prepared. The number of staves per page varies from 9 to 14 on 8 1/2×11″ pages. So the first page of Suite 1 is easy on the eyes, but Suite 4 Saraband and Bouree I is packed on one page with 14 staves of notes, chords, double stops, slurs, fingerings. Just so you know.
