A new grippy rockstop from Switzerland has a very thin profile.   It weighs 1.4 oz and is 3.5″ in diameter.  .A rigid holder fits inside a polymer-based jacket, and is supposed to hold on any surface, including ice.  Being in South Carolina, I don’t expect to be able to challenge this.   Stay tuned for comments, as this is a new item here.

    Xeros is a light-weight ABS plastic rockstop, 3″ square with a deep cup in the center to hold either a bare endpin tip or one with a rubber cap.  The bottom of the Xeros has rubber backing.  The webbed strap adjusts from 16″ to 29″ and has a 2″ D-shaped ring on the other end.  Place the chair leg through the ring to hold in place.

    Artino’s cello floor (SP20R) is made of walnut, and attaches to chair leg with an adjustable (14.5-24″)webbed strap.   There are 3 dimples in the wood for placement with or without rubber tip, and one with ABS plastic for carbide tips.  The 2 holes on the other end allow for quick length adjustments by lifting the chair leg and placing it in the alternate hole.  The bottom of the Artino has rubber padding affixed so it won’t slip or make noise against a hard-surface floor.
