Other cellists can stay in first but the more positions you know, the more opportunities you have to vibrate longer notes. Pretty arrangements, even if your group is more advanced. Parts are of unequal difficulty. Cellos I, II and III go into thumb position and treble clef in portions. Cello IV stays in bass clef but has many counting issues, chords. No score included. #1764
Duets are graded in four volumes, both parts of equal difficulty. Volume IV is for players moving into 5th position; music is still in bass clef. We usually stock this book for Two Violins and Two Violas which matches the cello book, so you can play duets with upper strings, but either can play the top or bottom part. A piano accompaniment book for this volume is also available for purchase.
