Duets are graded in four volumes, both parts of equal difficulty. Volume III uses half through 4th positions, music is rhythmically more challenging, more bow strokes are introduced, and ornamentation is added. We usually stock this book for Two Violins and Two Violas which matches the cello book, so you can play duets and either instruments can play the upper or lower lines. A piano accompaniment book for this volume is available for purchase.

Other cellists can stay in first but the more positions you know, the more opportunities you have to vibrate longer notes. Pretty arrangements, even if your group is more advanced.
