Volume III uses half through 4th positions, music is rhythmically more challenging, more bow strokes are introduced, and ornamentation is added. We usually stock this book for Two Violins and Two Violas which matches the cello book, so you can play duets and either instruments can play the upper or lower lines. A piano accompaniment book for this volume is available for purchase.

Applebaum Beautiful Music for 2 Cellos Vol. 1
$8.99Includes 55 short pieces playable in first position. Pieces increase in difficulty rhythmically, starting with half and whole notes and gradually introducing eighth notes and dotted quarters. None of the pieces have more than two sharps or flats. A piano part may be ordered separately. We feature the series for Two Cellos, but we also usually stock these compatible books for Two Violins and Two Violas. So either duet partner can play the top or bottom part!
