This volume is divided into 9 sections, each including some solos, duets and accompanied pieces for graded skill sets. Trilingual: English, French, German. The nine sections include:

open strings and 1st finger
3rd finger notes, key signatures, rests
4th finger notes, eighth notes (quavers)
2nd finger notes, accidentals, slurs
ties, dotted notes, bow markings
forward extensions, sixteenth notes
the flattened first finger
three-eighths and compound time
Requires fluency through 4th position, and includes chords, some trickier rhythmic issues (triplets is only the beginning). Prelude, Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Bouree I and II, Gigue
