The newest model of the TekPin is the Conservatory, and has all the features of the Professional but with a black plastic fitting instead of the elegant hardwood.   View the video by the maker to see if this endpin may be what you’ve been hoping for to reduce back pain, improve mobility as you play, and ultimately enhance tone.  The carbon fiber rod has a strong carbide tip which will work on cement floors without dulling.  You should have a luthier do the installation, and FYI the adjustable fitting cone is 27mm at the large end and 23.2 on the small end.   The Conservatory is also available with a stainless steel endpin  $500.

  • Composite Fitting for 8 mm endpin (NHM)

    This New Harmony Music endpin fitting is composite with stainless steel and can be used with your existing 8mm endpin, or you can purchase one of our options.   Keep in mind there are tolerances so a misfit (while rare) is possible.  You will need to know the diameter of the hole in your cello from the current fitting so you can choose either the Small 23.5 mm, Medium 25.5 mm, or Large 27.5 mm.   There is no angled bore option for an 8mm endpin.

  • Self-Adjusting Bridge – Aubert

    Adjustable bridges are not ideal for setting up a cello, but they can be a lifesaver in an emergency when there is no luthier or repair person close by.  These bridges are available in 4/4 and fractional sizes, but not a range of diameters.  They have pivoting feet since cello tops vary in curvature.  That means you will be able to set your cello up, but it is not likely the bridge will be optimal in relation to your sound post and bass bar.  They are available in low, medium and high so you can try to get a suitable height for playing.  Handy to have available at summer music camps or if you travel.

  • 10 mm Hollow Carbon Fiber Endpin (NHM)

    New Harmony Music’s woven carbon fiber endpin is 10mm diameter with hollow center, 20″ long, extremely sharp heat-hardened steel tip which can be resharpened.  The CF weave is visible for a distinctive look, and it’s light at ~43g. If you don’t have calipers to measure the diameter, you can measure around the circumference.  If it’s 1.25″ you have a 10mm endpin.  Each endpin is sold with a plastic-lined rubber cap.  Replacement caps may be purchased separately.      24″ long  endpin is $82.50
