TekPin’s unique vertical angle endpin is offered in multiple models.  The Conservatory nodel features a black plastic fitting instead of wood.  The $500 model version has a stainless housing with stainless  rod.  The $550 model has a stainless housing with a harder carbide rod, beneficial if you are playing on concrete surfaces.     The vertical enpin allows for more freedom of movement — front to back as well as side to side — eliminating tension in your back.  More information is available at the maker’s website  https://tekpinusa.com

    The original  Frirsz cello tailpiece is made of alloy and enhances projection, balance and response.  Wolf tones are tremendously reduced if not eliminated.  Asymmetry allows for a longer vibrating C string.  The cut-away design lightens the tailpiece and opens up the sound of the cello.   Integrated fine tuners are modular, removable, and interchangeable with traditional “keyhole” type of string attachment inserts, so it can be configured to your preferred set-up if you use gut strings or have PegHeds.  Please let us know if you want both the fine tuner modules and keyhole modules.

    10 mm Hollow Carbon Fiber Endpin (NHM)

    New Harmony Music’s woven carbon fiber endpin is 10mm diameter with hollow center, 24″ long, extremely sharp heat-hardened steel tip which can be resharpened.  The CF weave is visible for a distinctive look, and it’s light at ~43g. If you don’t have calipers to measure the diameter, you can measure around the circumference.  If it’s 1.25″ you have a 10mm endpin.  Each endpin is sold with a plastic-lined rubber cap.  Replacement caps may be purchased separately.      20″ long  endpin can be ordered, $73.00

    ConCarbo CF tailpiece with mini levers

    Another ConCarbo tailpiece option for cellists without Pegheds or other geared pegs is this “twill” French style model with mini levers.  The gallery photos show the back and side view of the tailpiece so you can appreciate how the string loads from the back for a clean look on the front, with less weight.  Since all our cellos have Pegheds, we don’t use this model here at the shop but can order it if it doesn’t happen to be in stock when you inquire.  Options for the tailpiece itself include black matte or shiny in addition to the “twill.”
