    This New Harmony Music endpin fitting is composite with stainless steel and can be used with your existing 10 mm endpin, or you can purchase one of our options.   Keep in mind there are tolerances so a misfit (while rare) is possible.  You will need to know the diameter of the hole in your cello from the current fitting so you can choose either the Small 23.5 mm, Medium 25.5 mm, or Large 27.5 mm.   This is a traditional straight bore hole.  The 6-degree angled model is listed separately.

    Composite Fitting 6 degree angle bore for 10mm Endpin (NHM)

    Endpin fitting is composite/stainless with thumb screw that tightens a collar around the endpin.   Cone diameter only comes in 27.5mm to accommodate the angle of the hole for a 10mm rod.  This allows use of a straight rod, angled downward 6 degrees.  Not as severe as the Stahlhammer’s 25 degrees.  Your cello sits more horizontal, f-holes facing more upward, and also may make the pegs sit more comfortably in relation to your neck.   Price is for the fitting only.  You can use any 10mm rod, or purchase the NHM 10mm rod (listed separately).

    New Harmony Rubber Tip

    Rubber tip with plastic liner specifically designed to fit New Harmony heat-hardened steel endpin tips.   The diameter of the hole is about 9 mm, so it stretches to fit securely over either the 10 mm diameter rod, or the 8mm rod because it reaches over the collar which is 9.5 mm.   Package of 2.  See photos for a clearer understanding of why it might not fit on your non-NHM endpin.

    The Klaus Bender endpin fitting features a twist-to-tighten mechanism which eliminates the traditional thumb screw.   Where wood fittings can swell and shrink with seasonal changes, the aluminum (like composites) are unaffected by weather changes.  Currently we do not stock these but have special ordered them.  The hole accommodates a 10mm endpin, and the fitting itself is available in four diameters:   23.5 mm, 25 mm, 26.5 mm and 28 mm.   Check the size of your cello’s hole so you know which you need.  Bender also offers four different endpin shafts but so far cellists have just been interested in the fitting itself.  Call for availability and pricing which is subject to change as we special order.
