ConCarbo French Style

It comes with a kevlar tail cord. If you have Pegheds and don’t need fine tuners, this is a great choice. If you do need fine tuners, there are two options pictured in the gallery (mini levers and titanium adjusters) and they have their own entries and pricing on our site. For more information from the maker, visit their site here.

ConCarbo CF tailpiece with titanium adjusters
$264.00If you don’t have Pegheds or other geared pegs, you will likely want a tailpiece with fine tuners. ConCarbo makes two varieties, and each style is manufactured specifically for the type of tuner arms. These are titanium hook style, and they are the easiest when changing strings because of their accessibility. The tailpiece is made of carbon fiber and is available in “twill” which shows the CF weave, as well as matte black. The gallery shows side and back images with just the C arm and string. While the tuning arms can be removed, the hardware for the tension adjusters is permanent. Currently black matte is in stock.

Akusticus Tailpiece
$52.00Akusticus plastic tailpiece, 220 mm in length, has integrated fine tuners and a wire tail loop. This is a popular choice for fine instruments as it can help enhance volume and tone. Weight ~ 81.8g. There are replacement parts for this tailpiece so if you break a fine tuner, don’t throw the tailpiece away! I’m not saying the parts will be in stock here, but they should be able to be ordered.

Composite Fitting 6 degree angle bore for 10mm Endpin (NHM)
$85.00Endpin fitting is composite/stainless with thumb screw that tightens a collar around the endpin. Cone diameter only comes in 27.5mm to accommodate the angle of the hole for a 10mm rod. This allows use of a straight rod, angled downward 6 degrees. Not as severe as the Stahlhammer’s 25 degrees. Your cello sits more horizontal, f-holes facing more upward, and also may make the pegs sit more comfortably in relation to your neck. Price is for the fitting only. You can use any 10mm rod, or purchase the NHM 10mm rod (listed separately).
