Composite Fitting 6 degree angle bore for 10mm Endpin (NHM)
$85.00Endpin fitting is composite/stainless with thumb screw that tightens a collar around the endpin. Cone diameter only comes in 27.5mm to accommodate the angle of the hole for a 10mm rod. This allows use of a straight rod, angled downward 6 degrees. Not as severe as the Stahlhammer’s 25 degrees. Your cello sits more horizontal, f-holes facing more upward, and also may make the pegs sit more comfortably in relation to your neck. Price is for the fitting only. You can use any 10mm rod, or purchase the NHM 10mm rod (listed separately).

ConCarbo CF tailpiece with mini levers
Another ConCarbo tailpiece option for cellists without Pegheds or other geared pegs is this “twill” French style model with mini levers. The gallery photos show the back and side view of the tailpiece so you can appreciate how the string loads from the back for a clean look on the front, with less weight. Since all our cellos have Pegheds, we don’t use this model here at the shop but can order it if it doesn’t happen to be in stock when you inquire. Options for the tailpiece itself include black matte or shiny in addition to the “twill.” We can special order this for you.

TekPin Conservatory Stainless Endpin
$500.00TekPin’s unique vertical angle endpin is offered in multiple models. The Conservatory nodel features a black plastic fitting instead of wood. The $500 model version has a stainless housing with stainless rod. The $550 model has a stainless housing with a harder carbide rod, beneficial if you are playing on concrete surfaces. The vertical enpin allows for more freedom of movement — front to back as well as side to side — eliminating tension in your back. 8 mm Solid Carbon Fiber Endpin NHM
$58.50New Harmony’s 8mm carbon fiber endpin is 20″ long, weighs ~ 42 grams with a rubber cap that weighs 6 grams. It is a one-for-one replacement for most solid metal endpins. If you don’t have calipers to measure diameter of your existing endpin, measure around the circumference of the rod. If it’s 1″, the diameter is 8mm. The tip is heat-hardened steel that can be sharpened, though it maintains its original point for a long time. Some players report some flex compared to solid metal rods, but this varies with player movement (emoting) as well as how close you are to full extension. *Add $10 for the model with a steel carbide tip
