We are starting to offer Ipe wood by the same makers whose pernambuco bows we have sold for years. These bows are silver mounted and appointed with the same details Whether you visit the shop or have an array of bows sent to you, you can compare Ipe to others across your price range. The Silver Plus is less expensive than the “Noir” and “Art Deco” models
Arcus Series 5
If you want to spend under $2,000 you should consider a test drive of the Arcus M5 and T5. The playing and tonal characteristics are different, but so is each player’s ability. Trial is the only way to see if one will work for you. Weights tend to be in a 72-75 g range based on bows we’ve had in the shop.
Made in Germany, stamped “Josef Sandner,” octagonal stick is of pernambuco and mounted with engraved silver on the tip and ebony frog.
