This is not a Casals edition, but rather one edited by students and disciplies of Casals. Marie Roemaet Rosanoff and Lieff Rosanoff feel they offer a representation of Casals’ teachings, and his tradition of performance as they remained in personal and artistic contact with Casals. Suite 5 does not use the original tuning (scordatura) but normal tuning.
Composed by Natalia in 2008 for cello and 7-string guitar, she arranged it in 2020 for cello and piano. See notes in the gallery.
