Boveda Starter Kit for cello (Large)
Boveda is a two-way system which controls humidity in your case whether it needs to be added or absorbed. We were slow to offer this product because its use in cello cases seemed a bit awkward, and buying replacement packets is a commitment. But we now have cellists needing the two-way management system for their finnicky cellos. This starter kit includes the soft pockets into which the Boveda packets are placed (after removing them from their plastic wrapper). Packets may remain effective for 2-6 months, and you can tell when they need replacement by how rigid they get. Packet contents are natural salts and pure water. Cellos require four packets to do the job, and remember to keep your case closed as exposure to the air will shorten their life. When unopened, the packets can be stored for two years. You can order additional packets when we ship your starter kit, or as you need them in the future. Stringvision Bow Grip
The SV bow grip is a soft, pliable non-latex elastomer that slides (more like putting on a wet bathing suit) from the screw end over the frog to help protect the stick from wear, and provide a very comfortable place for your thumb. You can still maneuver the bow with your fingers, and your thumb is not locked in one position, though it is oriented well and cannot poke through. A very popular item here. *Note: If the thumbnail is not kept short, you can wear through the rubber quickly. Also, repeated installation and removal, or rolling the rubber back on itself can lead to material failure. Weight 7.4 grams, top is 3.5″ long, bottom is 1.75″ long

Peg Compound
Peg Compound may help if you have friction pegs that stick or slip. It is easy to use, comes in a swivel-up tube like Chapstick. Remove your peg, clean off whatever residue may be on it, and apply just in a thin band where the peg contacts the wood in the peg box. Reinsert the peg and rewind string. A longer-term solution is Pegheds geared pegs if you can make the investment
